Signalling delay of code allocation strategies

چکیده
Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor codes are valuable resources in CDMA systems and should be properly managed. Thus Dynamic Code Assignment (DCA) schemes of OVSF codes in WCDMA systems can be used in order to increase spectral efficiency, enhance statistical multiplexing and minimize codeblocking probability [1]. The objective of this paper is to present a first evaluation of the delay required by signalling for code management strategies for WCDMA systems. This topic, together with signalling load needs, represents a critical issue when code management has to be implemented in a real network. Particularly it will be detailed a single code reassignment procedure, called ‘Physical Channel Reconfiguration’ evaluating the delays involved. This procedure will be based on a proposed implementation of an optimal DCA scheme [1]. These studies have been developed within the Advanced Radio Resource Management fOr Wireless Services (ARROWS) project that aims to define and assess a set of suitable Radio Resource Management (RRM) Strategies able to provide the required QoS in the framework of the UTRA segment of UMTS.

Power Allocation Strategies in Block-Fading Two-Way Relay Networks
This paper aims at investigating the superiority of power allocation strategies, based on calculus of variations in a point-to-point two-way relay-assisted channel incorporating the amplify and forward strategy. Single and multilayer coding strategies for two cases of having and not having the channel state information (CSI) at the transmitters are studied, respectively. Using the notion of cal...

A new resource management strategy, which improves packet latency and reduces signalling traffic, is proposed. The channel allocation algorithm proposed is efficient in that it allows an Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor (OVSF) code to be allocated only whilst a user has packets to transmit. There are a limited number of downlink codes and the amount of signalling required will be evaluated....

Introduction: Fibrinolytic drugs are one of the important strategies for the treatment of patients with acute myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation, especially in small centers. This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the distance with the global standard for fibrinolytic treatment and the viewpoints of experts in this regard. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional st...
متن کاملRole of begging and sibling competition in foraging strategies of nestlings
We assume that parents use the signalling intensity of their young to determine how much food they bring to the nest, and that the pattern of food allocation is determined by the signalling intensity and by the intensity of other nonsignalling behaviours that are not perceived by the parents. We explore different ways in which signalling, nonsignalling behaviours and competitive asymmetries mig...

In the present Mobile Telecommunications scenario, the transmission of SS7 signalling on traditional TDM circuits is evolving to a SS7 over IP network (SoIP) solution, due to the continuous efficiency research in optimizing transmission and to the continuous goal of cost reduction. Some operators are using SoIP network in a national environment, while international SoIP networks are going to be...
